10 Plant Points

The Tarnok white top is a variety found in a specific locale in Alabama.  It’s the cheerleader among pitcher plants.  In mid spring it produces double-petal red flowers that look like pom-poms.  Go Bama!

The Tarnok variety resembles the typical form of white top pitcher, but the pitchers are slightly thinner.  It also grows faster and produces more pitchers per season.  Look for the best pitchers of the season in late summer through the first frost of fall.  And don’t worry about winter.  Of all the various forms of white top pitcher, the Tarnok variety is the hardiest of them all.
